OUR PURPOSE, VISION AND MISSION

Our purpose

The purpose of the Irish Christian Home Educators Association (ICHEA) is to serve and connect Christian home educators on the island of Ireland.

Our vision

To promote thoughtful, sound, and healthy Christian home education that contributes to children's development of both mind and character, to the glory of God.

To connect like-minded home educating parents who choose to raise children to have an integrated understanding of God, themselves, and the world, developing adults who contribute to society.

Our mission

To provide information and resources to those interested in or pursuing Christian home education.

To share information about how to appropriately engage Tusla, the Irish Child and Family Agency.

OUR VALUES

We are gracious in our speech

Col 4:6 Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

We are humble in our relationships

Phil 2:3-4  Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,  not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.

We have integrity in our actions

Prov 11:3   The integrity of the upright guides them

Titus 2:7-8  In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us.

We are diligent in our work

Rom 12:11  Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.

We strive for excellence

1 Corinthians 10:31   So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
